How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
Sam's music brings people of all levels of observance - secular Jews and even many people who are not Jewish - together. His unique approach to taking the liturgy and setting it to music helps to bring an awareness of G-d's presence in every aspect of creation. His music awakens the neshama and helps to remind you that G-d loves you and is yearning to have a spiritually intimate relationship with each of His Children. Sam's emunah is such an integral part of his being that it radiates from him and touches any who have contact with him.
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
Sam's faith in the inate goodness of all people and in the love of G-d for all has brought out in me an awareness of what G-d expects of me. I think that sharing G-d through music is the definition of Tikun Olam, for what better way to repair the world than through love of G-d and our fellow human beings? I think that is how Sam and his music has inspired me and impacted my life the most.
