How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
Rabbi Avrohom has been a major influence in greening the Jewish desert in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. This is the first Yeshiva of this magnitude (17,000 sq ft) ever between the borders of B.C. and Ontario. The Jewish Learning Center is open to all denominations in Judaism. One is not required to become a member like other synagogues to attend this spiritual heaven on earth. People are left to elevate in their Judaism by choosing the speed and time they desire to set aside. Rabbi Avrohom Altein sets the tone on how the Jewish Learning Center [JLC] in its totality will operate. Everyone is welcome and the atmosphere embraces the Torah statement from Leviticus "Love your fellow man as yourself."
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
Rabbi Avrohom Altein has been a major influence in my life. I have spent most of my 67 years on this earth operating on my emotions. The mere discipline one requires to reintroduce ones self to your birth religion has been a blessing for me. And Rabbi Avrohom has the understand to answer questions with clarity and meaning. He has a magical way of making Judaism desirable and worth while. This alone has helped me grow as a human being. I have read many spiritual and self help books in my life and recently found that all the answers to life's questions are found in the Torah.
