Two years ago Josh created the Boca Raton Jewish Experience (BRJE) in an effort to stem the time of assimilation in South Palm Beach County, one of the most densely populated Jewish communities in America. What began as a small side project has become a passion that has now become his full time job. The BRJE has already garnered international attention and received awards from the biggest outreach organizations in the world, including Aish Hatorah and the National Jewish Outreach Program. The Boca Raton Jewish Experience (BRJE) is an aggregator of nationally-developed educational programs, offering a variety of free classes to Jews about their history and heritage, and offering ways that people can interact meaningfully in Jewish communal experiences. BRJE is a new effort to identify,reach out, connect, engage and inspire Jews of all ages in Palm Beach County. BRJE offers interesting entry-level educational programs and a variety of social opportunities where people can interact meaningfully in Jewish communal experiences. BRJE has classes for people of all ages and interests:
seniors, adults, young adults, and kids. No background needed. No commitment is required and all classes are free. In Addition Josh wanted to find more venues for spreading the positive messages that Judaism has to offer. He started a daily radio show call Jewish Pride Radio and is also the co-producer of Jewish Pride Films that seeks to interview high profile Jews about their Jewish Pride. Each week he also records a video called “A Minute of Inspiration” as a way to motivate and inspire individuals for the coming week. The real success of the outreach program is the integration of the unaffiliated Jews of Boca Raton with the members of the affiliated Jewish community and local Jewish organizations.
