How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?

Jill is an amazing woman that has created a kosher, organic, sustainable farm at the JCC in West Rogers Park... with 22 chickens! Jill has taught oodles of groups how to cultivate land, tend chickens, and relate to the Torah. Jill works with summer camps, interfaith groups, b'nai mitvah parties, adults, young adults, seniors, EVERYONE. She truly has a passion for social justice and tikkun olam.

How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?

Jill inspires me to do more direct action social and eco-justice work within my own community. Jill inspires me to not only recycle, but to compost, despite living in the city. Jill inspires me towards all-stream Jewish endeavors.
