How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?

Eitan is a hard working and devoted physician. His experience as a captain in the Israeli Army has taught him to be modest and dedicated. As a neonatologist, he spends many hours in the hospital caring for his patients. In addition, he is a hospital administrator. He is available 24hours a day, 7 days a week for his patients. At all hours of the night, you can hear him talking to his patients and reassuring them that everything will be okay. His soothing words have brought comfort to countless families over the years. When he is not in the hospital, Eitan is involved in numerous organizations and is always recruiting friends to take part in all that he does. EItan works and volunteers throughout the Jewish community as well as within the health care system. His humor and charm inspire others to be as hard working as he is. Because of his commitment to Israel, he is a true advocate and has inspired many of his friends to travel to Israel for the first time. As a result, his friends were inspired to become advocates themselves. Everyday, he makes a mark in his community. He doesn't let any obstacles get in his way, they only make him work harder. Eitan is literally changing and benefitting one life at a time. From premature babies, to senior citizens in the Jewish community, he makes a significant impact on all those around him. He is an inspiration to many. With age, Eitan becomes even more devoted and dedicated. There are not many people who can be involved in so many different projects and actually be good at all of them, but there is something about Eitan that the busier he is, the better he becomes. He is a motivator and achiever. A man who leaves his footprints behind modestly and proudly.

How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?

My dad has inspired me beyond belief. I have learned to be committed and faithful, charismatic and loyal. He has taught me to always stand behind my beliefs and always go beyond what I think is possible to achieve. My dad doesn't let a free second go to waste and whether it's calling his patients at 2am to check on them or doing house work, he does it with love and compassion. He does it because he wants to and not because he is being asked. I am proud to say that he is my dad because I know the impact he makes on so many people's lives. He is admired by so many for his kindness and humanity. He is there for anyone at anytime and for any reason. But at the end of the day, I am only one of two people who can proudly say, "That's my dad!" Like my dad, I left my native country to try life in a new place. I am now living in Israel which is my father's homeland. When I am struggling to find myself in this foreign country, I think about my dad and how he has created such a solid life for himself in America. His struggles have only made him stronger. I have learned to keep going and never let anything stand in my way. I have learned to take part in any opportunity that will enhance my life and give me the chance to inspire others. I work hard to make my dad proud, but more importantly because I want emulate the man I call my hero, my dad.
