How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
GEM is the ladder for high school girls who are willing to reach for a goal that is bigger than they ever dreamed. The GEM girls are the first in their families who will get to college- with the investment of volunteers who model, mentor, inspire and lead.
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
Debbi's leadership is an inspiration not only to me, but to all who are touched by her passion to create new possibilities for these girls. With a small staff and a large base of volunteers, she has created a model cross cultural community that enables people from different groups to appreciate one another, and a shared vision for a better world that we create together.
