How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
David devotes all of his energy and passion to bringing accurate and helpful information about Israel to many university campuses in the U.S. He was the East Coat campus coordinator and has recently located to the West Coast to help those campuses remain informed. With the Pro-Palestinian cause especially strong during this time, Jewish students need to feel that they understand the situation in the Middle East and are able to educate others with pride and integrity. He has connected with thousands of students and enabled hundreds to travel to Israel and examine the political issues firsthand, meeting people and visiting places that truly clarify the issues at hand.
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
I was blessed to be able to travel on one of the group trips to Israel. I met several crucial political figures and learned information that truly changed my entire perspective. I was able to see the borders of Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon, and hear war colonels speak about their experiences defending Israel. I was also able to bring these experiences and new knowledge to my campus, which was previously lacking any similar pro-Israel presence.
