Daniel Warner
Toronto, Ontario
How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
Daniel volunteers year-round on more than a dozen Toronto Jewish fundraisers and community events and spearheads the annual Scotiabank Pitch For Israel that he founded in 2008. This event has successfully raised more than $500,000 to support vulnerable Jewish youth in Israel by sending them to summer camp. His aim is to raise essential funds for those in need in the Jewish world while engaging his friends, colleagues and the greater Toronto Jewish community to get inspired, get involved and give back. Daniel currently sits on the board of directors for One Family Fund of Canada and participates on the young leadership committee for Mount Sinai Hospital, Reena Foundation and JNF. He currently works in the marketing field and is completing his MBA at The Schulich School of Business at York University.
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
Daniel inspires myself and others to do more for those around us by giving time for causes that are important to us - whatever they may be. Whether its fundraising for autistic children's programming, sending disadvantaged or disabled children to summer camp, creating psychological support systems, infrastructure development, political engagement, medical treatment, research and development both in Israel and Toronto, Daniel is willing and able to dedicate himself to the cause whenever necessary.
