How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
Cindy has a passionate commitment to bringing Jewish women together through the gift of deep Jewish knowledge. Appreciating a woman's pivatol position, be it in the family unit or life in general, she empowers each one through her personal and interactive transmission of Jewish wisdom. The unification of Jewish women is central to the unification of the Jewish people and Tikkun Olam. Cindy is a powerful unifier of hearts and minds as she brings forth her finely honed Judaic scholarship with humor and love.
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
Learning mainly one on one with Cindy for the past several years, when we first began, my level of Judaic education was superficial. She carefully planted seeds for my gradual growth in Jewish knowledge with her patience, kindness and non-intimidating manner. As those seeds began to take root, I never dreamed how the vast wisdom of our tradition could so meaningfully affect the quality of my life! Her transmission of the Torah has created an unshakable foundation for me. It has brought richness, texture, depth and happiness to every aspect of living in this challenging world. Looking at life, the world and relationships through this special Jewish lens has added a whole new dimension to the meaning of existence and answered many of life's most inscrutable questions. I am eternally grateful to Cindy and try to "pay it forward" through working on my Mitzvahs, Mussar, Chesed and Tzedakah.
