How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?

In order to ensure that survivors of the Holocaust did not suffer in vain, Brad's efforts ensure that their stories, which are digitally recorded and in their own voices, will be heard long after these elderly citizens pass away. Their compelling stories, some being heard for the very first time, have changed the dynamics of many of the survivors' families, and have, or will become, the subject of books, eulogies and even stories on television or in movies. They will hopefully encourage others to learn about what happened, so that mankind is not doomed to repeat this horrible time in history.

How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?

As the child of two Holocaust survivors, I am keenly aware of what a huge impact this period of history had on so many. The large scale effort of government to wipe people off the earth due to their ethnic background must be understood by all and must never be repeated. The magnitude of loss in the Holocaust is unimaginable, and cannot be easily understood, but these stories will help to bring the severity and reality to light. I feel inspired when I hear the miraculous stories of survival, and am awed to know that many of these stories had never been shared before and would probably been lost forever.
