How is your Hero working to make the world a better place?
The economy has worked havoc in our 25,000 person community. We have lost a day school and our agencies are hurting. Leave it to our fearless leader to find a silver lining to keep us looking forward. She initiated a strategic planning process that brought the leaders and the community to the table to discuss what's right about our community and our Federation. She has developed collaborative efforts in other counties that have brought us together with twice the amount of community members again raising our spirits. She is known as the cheerleader always leading us to new horizons with a smile and a confidence that makes you feel as much a part of the process as all of her efforts allowed. Team leader, team builder, and community treasure. She leaves a mark wherever she goes. Hopefully though â¦not too far from Pinellas County.
How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
She honestly believes that together we do make a difference. It's not about I. It's about we. It's about feeling the passion that allows everyone to be able to actively participate. She brings that out in everyone. Bonnie is quick to give up the spotlight to allow a volunteer to shine. I think it makes her shine brighter. She is a role model to standing tall and standing up for what you believe in. Her focus is always forward and always about the greater community.
