How has your Hero impacted your life and inspired you?
Upon retirement, he and his wife chose to remain in Knoxville, where Bernie continues to share his wisdom, skills and experience. With the Museum, he has been an advocate for the importance of youth education. With the Interfaith Health Clinic Foundation he served on the board and shared his experience in creating our Knoxville Jewish Community Family of Funds. He is a role model by being a quiet listener, summarizing discussion, concluding with helpful comments and recommendations. He has a vision, with the ability to help it become reality.
