Welcome to 2011 Heroes!
After you cast over 300,000 votes last year for dozens of nominees, we decided to carry over all the momentum and excitement into our third annual Jewish Community Heroes campaign. Thanks for stopping back in.
This year we'll be taking more nominations, and this November, we'll name a brand new Hero of the Year from a list of five finalists.
On the freshly-designed site for this years' contest, you'll find places to browse the nominations from all over the country, spread the word to your friends and family, keep updated on the blog, and of course — nominate your own hero.
Last year's Jewish Community Hero of the Year, Jay Feinberg, went on to promote the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation, now one of the of the largest international bone marrow registries, responsible for thousands of bone marrow transplants worldwide. Find or nominate your hero this year and help promote their valuable idea.
We're receiving new nominations every day for the 2011 campaign, and we know that this year's Heroes will be just as inspiring as last year's. So make sure to stop back frequently to check them out!
